Rear Wheel Bearing Help
Just another sad story, new motor - bad wheel bearing, some day I will actually get to drive it.
The question, what size socket do you need to get the nut off?? I need to go buy one and hate to experiment and accumulate a bunch of extras.
Also, how tough is the job?/
Thanx the help is appreciated <img src="graemlins/wave.gif" border="0" alt="[byebye]" />

Also, here's a link to the various procedures we have at Tech-Session regarding this (a search here on the forum will reveal even more tips and tricks):

Very good instructions. I would just add that items 4 and 5, the spacers (and seal races) are used to set the position of the bearings to the splined stub axle.
Item 5 the inner spacer has a pronounced chamfer on the hole on one side only. This goes outward toward the CV shafts/axles.
As both spacers have the same part number and the same bevel. The outer spacers bevel will point away from the outer bearing or the inner race of the bearing will not be contacted.

Make sure you get all the old grease cleaned out.
I didn't the first time and was back in there a few thousand miles doing it again as the grease turned to liquid.
