Those of you who weren't Speed Racer fans should brush up on the mystique behind RacerX. He's mysterious, he's fast and cunning, and he shows up in the nick of time to save the day. Alas, no one has ever seen him in person with his mask off:


Alas, with the demise of the Speed Racer series, I intend to keep the enigma alive. To see RacerX in person, one only has to attend a NorCal/SoCal Pizza Run:

The next one is tentatively planned for early Sept. in Santa Clara to dyno test a before & after installation of the <a href="http://www.gururacing.net" target="_blank">GURU Racing</a> Stg.2 MAP-sensor upgrade kit. The dyno will be available at a discount to all those attending.

In the meantime, SOME PEOPLE just can't get enough of RacerX. There was a conspiracy to snap his picture without his permission and post it on the internet !!! <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[nono]" /> Alas the evidence has been confiscated and destroyed. Here's all that's left:

Crazy stuff. So...how long has this thing (guru racing) been going on? I guess I didn't look at the boards much for a few weeks there and missed that whole thing. Sounds intriguing...I am also interested in getting one...I'll have to sell my Fuchs and another thing or two to finance it, but they are just sitting in my dad's attic collecting dust anyways.

So...this box (I forgot the manufacturer's name...from NZ, right?) can compensate for huge injectors and big turbos working with your chips, right? You would just need to re-program it with that pad thing ($300, $50/wk rental I think), correct? Would you be able to give a customer directions on how to program the box to work with future upgrades (I'm just thinking of 72# injectors and T04E's and stuff in my future) and approximate settings to use? I will definitely be sporting some sort of mean loud BOV after I get this thing.

Good stuff...I tried finding that picture of you dressed up in drag for holloween from a ways back to post up here, but JohnD seems to have deleted all of the pictures that are more than a few months old.

I thought Racer X drove a Shooting Star 9, not a P-car. Unless, the 9 WAS a P-car, maybe it was short for Shooting Star 944/951. hhhmmm.
