Hi Guys, some may remember my cam timing problem from before:
http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=15&t=007600
anyways we checked it all out and it's bang on, everthing else *looks* perfect, the only thing now we can think of is that one or more of the sensors are tripping out or the DME is fried, i believe there is a method to test each individual sensor thru the "ports" that plug into the DME.
The way that i have heard is to jump the corresponding ports and then with a voltmeter hooked up to the +/- on the plug in, you would get a reading that would determine if the sensor is faulty.
I can take the car in to my mech but don't feel like spending 150 bucks for them to do this, if anybody has a clue what i'm talking about or if you know the ports and values please share!!!

im sorry i cant help you with your problem, but when i was reading the posts about you cam timing issues, you mentioned that your mechanic said it may have been caused by push or roll starting the car. why would this cause any problems? Im curious because ive done this with my car and mabey ive screwed something up.

hi i am jay's mechanic friend. i can't say weather or not its true, however i heard from a fairly reliable source if when you push star in reverse your car backfires then chances are you jumped a tooth back. logic being no oil pressure @ the chain tensioner, and low tension and just right the piston position. like i said i have no positive proof of this phenomena, just heresay.

There is a good procedure in the manual, it does require a scope to measure some of the sensors. Send me a message and I can get you the procedure..its kind of long for a post.
