Ok well just as an update I know of someone who saw the accident. Someone apparently walked into the pharmacy on the corner of the street and asked whose red car was outside and said that he saw someone hit it and drive away. I gave the people at the pharmacy my name and number and they called the customer who saw it happen. Right now they're waiting on him to call back so they can give him my number...

I'm not gonna buy any parts just yet. I'm gonna see if theres any way this guy can be identified. I should NOT have to pay for this.

Also, the police basically said it's up to me to find the guy... awesome.

I've been in every building on both sides of the street and the only place with a camera has it facing the other direction.

Are you a "do-it yourselver"??? Check out this website:

http://www.paintscratch.com/

Lots of rennlisters from all model forums have excellent results with this company. I tried the spray can (Sage Brush Metallic) on my 2004 Honda Odyssey (rear hatch area); used the base coat in a spray can and the clear coat. Color match was perfect. Repainting your nose panel and spoiler would be very doable. Recommend a Porter Cable 7424XP random orbital buffer. If you can make the next Porsche Swap meet in 2010 (Hershey, PA) you may have lunch finding low cost parts. Good Luck.

PS. If your witness is able to identify the vehicle (license plate) that hit you, ask him for a statement (get certified) and go to small claims court.

well, i have to join the club. Same thing happened to me tonight in the parking lot where i work. It happened during a 45 minute window and i'm so pissed right now. It was a truck or SUV.

I need a fender, headlight cover, header panel and my bumpers all scratched up. No cameras or anything so i'm pretty much screwed.

where are you from. I have a 944 ns header you can pick up for $20 (I bought it for my 951 by accident and it obviously does not fit)

I definitely feel your pain. I'm losing faith in humanity.

I'm in northern VA. I'll pay shipping if you're willing to send it.

Armonius, all your panels apear repairable, maybe a headlight door, fender and header look definetly repairable. Good luck to both of you, this is why I park very far away from everyone. I had this happen to me once, and don't want it to happen again.

You'd be amazed at the level of stupidity achieved by the cell phone talking, SUV driving soccer mom. Parking lot, side of the street, it doesn't matter.
