The headers on the 928 looks like the outlet is a better/larger design than the 944S/S2 Header...

I dont think the power increase would make too much difference in lap times either 10HP gain with headers and a gain of 1.5 second in a lap time i think a set of tires could do that... But if hes talking quarter mile time then thats a GREAT gain...

Again Im liking the left/passenger side header of the 928 setup...

The left side 928 header is very similar to the 944 8 valve header. And that is junk too. And it makes the car sound like even more junk. If you want headers that will actually do something look at the stahl header.

The gains on 16V 928's using MSDS headers has been proven on multiple cars.
The image of the headers above is in raw form, before being coated. The Stahl headers wouldn't look any better in this state.
Are "better" headers available? Sure, for more money. I could have some inconel equal length headers made for a few thousand dollars. Would they give significant gains over what I already have? Probably not.

Nice to know you think my car sounds like crap.

Pardon the constant blipping, one of these days I'll fix those synchros

Has anyone purchased these headers yet? I'm interested in them for my car.

Is there a flange available or do you just have to weld them to the exhaust pipe? Anyone know the I.D. of the pipes coming out of the engine?

I was just at B&N reading "Excellence" magazine and they mentioned two available headers. The one they picked seemed cheaper AND better looking than this one. I could be wrong. It might be this very set.
