Post Southwestern Ohio get together

Hey, guys. This is my first post as I don't have a computer (I'm doing this from work) but I have been tracking your exploits on a "read only" basis for a while. I have an '86 944 N/A and an '89 951 and also just happen to live just outside the Middletown area. After seeing preliminary arrangements for an outing I took the liberty of talking to the manager at the Middletown Fricker's and made reservations for 20-50 people and told the story about 3/29 at 1:00 PM. We will have a section to ourselves. This was a good choice, whoever suggested it, because the BW3's that is right across the street just closed about three weeks ago. If you take the Middletown exit off of I-75 (between Dayton and Cincy), go west on 122. After about a mile (or two or three lights) you will see a sign for Grand Ave. (which would go straight ahead) or Roosevelt (to the left). Go Roosevelt (to the left) and you will immediately see Fricker's on the left side. Left at the first light after you veer left and you're there. If you have any questions or need me to do anything else, let me know. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

WadeB, were you at the TajMaGaraj show last year? Were you the guy who had just got a 1989 951 for a real low price?

I seem to remember that they guy we spoke with at Taj was named Wade. I have photos of that car around somewhere.

Wade--Thanks for the help. I was planning on talking to the manager when I was down there Saturday, but now I don't have to.

Yea, Pete, that would be me. '89 951, Alpine White, 230k, new clutch, water pump, timing belt, Dunlops, chip and modified waste gate. $4000. I've had to do a few other things to it since I talked to you last. Guess I'll explain over that beer you promised me.

I may make an overnight of this. I have a rule that I don't drink and drive, especially in my Turbo. I could have a lot more fun if I wasn't facing a 2.5 hr trek home afterwards. So, what have we got for nighttime activities?

FWIW, I'm not confirmed as attending yet, I need to get free from work Sat AM.

I think Matt, Jerad and I will try to make it - that's not a very long trek for us. Sam, are you up for this? Brian - you're also in Bloomington... 46 b/w here and Columbus is a lot of fun!

Dan, you need to be there - I owe you a drink!

I've said it before and i'll say it again. I'm in baby! So long as there's food and Porsche's that's good enough for me! Now the real question is whether or not to go meet up with the guys from Charlotte <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" /> That would be a trip! Looking forward to meeting you guys.

I really want Brian to go... we can put him in the front and use him to weed out all the smokies!

LOL
