What color is that? It looks very similar to the color I painted my car.

Awesome! Looks like you painted the hood-latch-thing. Did you mean to do that? I personally think they look great freshly zinc'd.

Awesome work. Can't wait to see it finished.

Hopefully the paint doesn't make the latch sticky!!

it would suck to not be able to get the hood open to see that beautiful paint job!

got the paint from an automotive paint supplier in milwaukee. its PPG

and yeah i used a torpedo heater to get it to about 95 degrees in the garage so the actual metal itself was nice and warm. i dont think it ever dropped below 60 degrees even an hour after we were done spraying the clear. so it dried nice and hard

oh yeah and for the hood latch. i plan on drilling out the rivets and putting a nice new cad plated one in there. i totally forgot it was there when i primed everything so i just went with it and decided i would just deal with it later.

and yeah its pretty tricky getting the engine in without scratching the frame rails.... fingers crossed heh. the engine is just as pretty as the engine bay so i dont want scratches on anything!

when its all done there should be NOTHING touching the fenders at all. they will be as bare as they are now
