If you are afraid of scratching anything, you could always just load it up with painter's tape and old tee shirts! Or... wrap the engine with foam and cotton *****!

hah actually i do have a bunch of old t shirts and towels standing by. i used them to cover the engine when i took it in and out a few times already.

dang the new lower hood latch is 60 bucks! oh well not that bad i guess

oh also i need new exhaust headers... anyone got some spares sitting around?

Just take the old latch and strip it with aircraft stripper. Looks good.

yeah the rack could be cleaner... ill clean it eventually... i just wanted to be able to move the car

heh, more local than san diego. no joke though, my friend lives and works in kenosha and goes to the race shop in crystal lake like every day. i dunno how he does it.

i knew a guy with a white turbo that lived here that had family in crystal lake.... same guy? i think his make was joe...? or mike...? i really dont remember. and yeah by local i mean like i could actually drive down and pick up parts heh. he's only like an hour from me.
