Those lights & fenders were a factory "flat nose" option, but it used regular 911 front bumper. What comes to 951/S2 front bumper, i don't know.

c'mon you guys, you all know that this car is the 964 Turbo 3.6 (or Turbo S), Flachbau... It was an expensive (US$60k?) option in the early nineties before the 993 came out. saw and took many pics of one a couple of months ago at a Hillsborough Concours (NorCal), jeeez..

check out <a href="http://www.flat-6.net/view.php?model=964&sel=964+Turbo+3.6+Flachbau&tab=oview" target="_blank">flat-6.net</a> for more info.

(btw: no such thing as a 952)

I always thought the boxster and 996 were the first to share a front end.

It's not an 964.More likely its factory flat nouse with 951/S2 type front bumper.Rear bumper seems to be "ordinary" 911 item.Factory flat nouses had that kind of air vents front of rear wheels.

Jeez... maybe it's a front-engine water-pumper....;-) Or maybe it's got an engine in each end!!!

Jim, yeah, right...

The 964 slope nose or "Flachbau" has the front end from a 968. This particular car looks like it has the front end from a 928.

The factory car with the 968 front end is one rare and beautiful car, this one looks like a custom job. <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />

I agree with Sloth. This definitely looks like a one-off. I believe the 1994 3.6 came with the 'slope nose" option, but a lot of buyers opted against. I looked at a number of 3.6 Turbos that were mostly described as "slope nose delete" and retained the traditional fenders and lights.

I'm looking for a picture in my files. If I find it I'll post it.

I think I got it:

Ok, you may have seen this car on a calendar or on the internet somewhere. It is simply a one of a kind vehicle, a conglomeration of 911 and 928 parts. The builder just decided to call it "939", because 911 + 928 = 939 , if you catch my drift. Porsche had nothing to do with this at all, other than make the parts that came off both cars.

I found the website here: <a href="http://www.porsche.ru/porsches/939.htm" target="_blank">CLICK HERE</a>
