Post 944 TIRE SIZES - 215/60/15 to 225/65/15??

Ok,

I know this is an odd question, as most guys want lower profile tires.....with that being said:

The normal tire size for the 944 is 215/60/15. I purchased new tires in that size for the fronts and 215/65/15 for the rears (I know, but I like the taller tires in the rear), but the brand I purchased looks a lot smaller (not as wide) than the original ones.

My question is: is it ok to go to a 225 instead of a 215 for both front and rear or just rear or neither?

Thanks

I've heard of people using 225/50 (or was it 55?) r15s. You end up with a slightly smaller radius tire, so your MPH numbers will be something like 5% high, plus they don't fill out the wheel wells quite as much.

I have 205/45 at the front and 255/45 at the back with 3 piece turbo rims . They look awesome! They fill out well, but a bit of rub.
