Very broad power range for hot street engines. Can be used in a turbo application. Works with factory fuel injection. This is a new billet cam.
Just wanted to get some feedback on it. I like pep.

I'm looking at things to do when my motor comes out. Seems reasonably cheap for a performance cam...

I'm sure people with aftermarket cam experience will chime in, but from what I've read on this site in the past, the JME cam is the best NA cam available.... thought they are a few bills more.

JME keeps their profiles secret though.. so unlike the others you have no idea what you're getting.

Wow. That's some serious Cammage.

If I were to run this one:
Race Solid Lifter RS 304M2/280M-10 for 944/928
Best power band 5000-8200 rpm. 1300 rpm idle. Off idle lope. .595 cam lift In, .510 Ex. Race solid lifter, valve spring & retainer package required. Motronic will not work. After market engine management only. Bhp available depends upon tune of engine. No equivalent competitors cam. Used where lift is un-restricted but racing cam is allowed. Best results with unrestricted intake, fully ported cylinder head with larger valves, racing header.
what supporting parts would I need?

Just asking.

What do you mean secret? The actual duration and lift, etc?

Yeah, none of the specs

Also the one you're looking at is apparently the webcam here http://webcamshafts.com/index_blank....le_search.html

For some reason nobody talks much about cams around here.. Those who have them for 944s usually don't hang around rennlist I guess.

I just don't think there is that much HP to gain out of the NA engine, so I don't think many people have an aftermarket cam. On a street engine, a cam would only add 15-20hp at MOST.... and that's an expensive 15-20hp.

Somebody has to be buying them, there are 3 makers that I know of. Anything to perk up an n/a is nice since we are overshadowed by the turbo model, I know I wouldn't argue with an easy 20hp.

15-20 hp is over 10% power gain which is great for any n/a engine

ritzblitz has this cam in his car, it took away some low end torque but the car doesn't fall on it's face at 6 grand anymore

as far as power gains....it went from about slow to......less slow

So, which one should I go with? I'm looking for the low speed, high rev power needed for autocrossing.

after looking at the JME website something i would like in the future when i have moneys would be the first cam they have listed, like 12-18hp i think with stock everything but 951 springs.

i wonder how well that would work with the blower...

I was thinking the second one. I have a P&P Head job lined up this winter, along with header and intake. So I figured it would compliment that nice.

I just dont feel like trying to opensource tune a 944.

Like 944CS said I have that cam in my car. It makes power all the way up to the factory redline (probably past it as well). Definitely wakes the engine up, but it's still slow. I also have the MSDS header, and i have a feeling it works better with the significant addition of exhaust lift from the webcam.

Got it for $150. Not sure if it's worth the 600 or whatever webcam charges you.

Either way, a cam is good.
