Default Heat Shield Repair

So I have the motor out of the 924s and I see the heat sheilding around the bellhousing area is a bit torn up. I would like to repair rather than replace. I found the 3" foil tape at Home Depot which would work perfectly....until I actually apply heat. The tape is rated to 265F. I imagine it gets a bit toastier than that right above the collector. Has anyone found a high temp tape that might work here? Or are there some better options?
