I saw over on the 968 site that it was possible to remove the rear deck and replace it with rear seats. Will that work the other way around ? I would love that storage space in my 944. Anybody attempt it or know someone that did ?

If your interior is black then I'll swap. It's a direct exchange between the S2 Cab and the 968 Cab. The US 968 gave up the rear seats, as the US gov't insisted on three point belts in the rear; previously lap belts were sufficient.

the problem I have with my rear deck is that the cabs have a tab on each side that the deck mounts to, the coupes lack this because it would be quite uncomfortable for back seat occupants. so my deck is kinda unstable, it just pivots on the outer lap belt bolts where it mounts. Pluss I would like to get tumblers for the doors that match my ignition and every other lock in the car. My interior is tan and the deck is black, but Black matches everything...
