Default 16x7 clubsport fitment on a 924s

alright. i own a lowered 924s so i have very little room to play with. i searched here and 924board but i cant find anyone with these wheels on a 924s (several sewer lids though)

my "street" wheels turned out perfect but they are close:

205 50 17 on a 17x6.5 et 55 with a 7mm spacer (hub clearance)

Questions:
-are clubsport wheels an et 60?

-do they fit over a hub without spacers?

Concerns:
-if i dont remove the spacers my desired 225 50 16 may rub on the fender (i loose 1mm in the rim and 10mm in the tire)

-if i remove the spacer i compromise my tire/coil clearance (i loose 11mm in the rim, 10 mm in the tire, and 7mm in the spacer or about 1.1inch) i am running coilovers so that helps.

i'm currently 14hrs from home so i cant measure.

please give me any input you may have.

Wow... Ha. Most of the early 924's are. The 924S' is five lugs.

But I am pretty sure you will be fine. I'm running rims of a 928 that are 205/55/16 and the rears are 225/50/16. I have spacers on the front... small ones though. I'll check to see what size they are. Lol.

some of them...

but a 924s is basically an early 944 with aluminum trailing arms and narrow fenders (give or take)

and before its asked, yes, its "early offset" suspension, but because its narrower, it wears late offset wheels...

your cars the reason i dont think i will be ok!!

it doesnt look like you have room for a 225 up front (or a 215 for that manner) and i think i am quite a bit lower than you.

if i'm stuck running a 205 up front i will probably just run a 205 50 15 on my dials. i'm afraid they will look tiny, but atleast they will be "geared" well.

Ha. Oh.

I'm sure you are lower than me (not sure if my ride height is stock? lol). 205's look very tiny. I hated running my 15 inch phone dials because they looked so small. I looooovvvveeed driving with them though. Lol.

For me, the spacer was hitting the coil. Not by much, but enough.

Why? I have factory height, but I run a 205 width up front wihtout any problems on a 7" wide rim

I don't think 16" look tiny on a 924

thanks, that is also an option. where are you rubbing?

ive done a lot of calculations, made a spreadsheet and finally got home to measure my car and i do think the 7in clubsports with a 225 should fit but will be tight. i am almost positive it would rub the stock coil quite badly but my coilover should allow enough room. there may be some rubbing on the fender, but i hope my 350lb springs will keep that to a minimum.

thank you all for your input.
