Post 968 Club Sport in new Excellence Mag....

Another perfect Porsche day here in Ohio. 48 degrees and sunny. Left work at noon today (scheduled 1/2 vacation day). Followed a friend with his 911 down to Farlers to have some work done on it. Saw a 500Hp 951 race car there, another 951 race-prepped car. and 3 other 944's (took extensive pics, will post on Monday, software for digicam is on my work computer). Then drove home, washed and shammied the 944, then the postman shows up with the new Excellence.

It has an article on a very NICE Riviera Blue 968 Club Sport that is in the USA and owned by Rennlister Rich Tillotson. He also has a Summer Yellow 968 that he prepped to Club Sport specs that is the last 968 sold new in the USA. Very cool magazine, if you don't have a subscription, go pick this issue up. It also has a story on the RUF Yellowbird CTR.

Excellence is a good magazine. You can find more details at:

Great mag!

You must be a month ahead in Ohio, I seem to always get my Excellence a few weeks after you!
I'm so jealous! Funny some people have posted that they have too much advertising, I actually LIKE it that way! Lots of resources for parts and services.

I finally broke down and bought a 2 years subscription. I'm tired of running to B&N during my lunch hour.

obviously not having the current magazine, can anyone explain "the last 968 sold in the USA"? I thought that PAG didn't sell those cars here.

also re: subs, wouldn't it be cool to get a subscription to Rennlist included with a subcription to Excellence (for a few dollars more, or none at all)?

Deni, they never sold the CS here, but he could well have the last 968 sold. I'd like to work towards making a 'sorta' CS out of my new cab-yellow back Recaro's, CS suspension, source some manual wind door panels, etc.

And, the only yellow the CS came was Speed, not summer.

Plus, the CS will be at the 968 Celebration and then at the Hershey Swap meet, so you can see it in person. We'll also have a Riviera Blue Cab, the color is great on these cars.

one of the things i dislike about being in hawaii is that mail arrives here about 10 to 14 days after it is sent.....so my excellence magazine takes forever to get here....i often swing by barnes and noble and peek at the cover to see what lies ahead.....besides its not cheating if you dont actuallly pick up the magazine is it?

Tifosiman,

Craig does have a nice car, 944 turbo. Did you see the set of headers he is installing? Nice setup.

I wish I could have stayed and talked but I had to get back to work. BTW, I was the guy leaving in the silver Escape.

I stand corrected, the Summer Yellow car was a 'paint to sample' custom order.
