lol yeah that hidden "old rust" bolt that is bonus on every 944 part. Wake it up by tapping it with a hammer a bunch.
First time I did it, the 5th gear fell out with it...bolt holding it on had backed out! Which would explain why my original tranny did not like using 5th.

Well I used a Flat Head Screw Driver and can see a gap all the way around but it still dosent seem to want to come off...
I dont think that it going to come off cause its still mounted in the car so I was trying to get the end cap off without having to drop the entire unit...
Im going back tomorrow with an extension and 8mm to get the input shaft off and then hopefully the unit will drop low enough to get the cap off so I dont have to mess with the CV axles...
Do I have to take the Rear end cap seal off to get to another bolt or something though..?
