anyone got pictures of the rear hatch hinges??

Default anyone got pictures of the rear hatch hinges??

hi guys
never posted on this forum before, im usually on the 928 one

has anyone got some pictures of the hinges??? or mechanism used for the rear hatch.

is there a frame around the glass??

yes, there is a frame that the glass is glued to. the hinges are bolted to the frame, and through the body. If you have an 83 car, there are two access plugs (rectangular) that you can remove to access the four bolts. If its a power sunroof car, then you have to remove the rear headliner panel to get to the bolts.

Disconnect the struts, disconnect the wiring (wiper, defroster, 3rd brake light), and remove those 4 bolts and it will come right off.

thanks for the info
the reason for my question is that the hatch on the 928 is HEAVY and i was wondering if i could do some alterations so only the glass opened, something like a 911 targa?? for example.
