Clutch Labor Charge
As I keep quite busy these days, my 951 has been on jack stands for almost 4 weeks. 
I have managed to finish the ball joint rebuild, but have not had the time to start the clutch job. I have a stage 1 KEP, throw-out bearing, and organic sprung from clutchnet. I called around to a few shops expecting to be quoted $60-$80 per hr in labor. Blame it on the recession if you will, but I got quoted $1500 labor at $100 per hour at one place, and 20hrs at $100 an hr at another!!
Anybody with similar experiences lately?? Guess its going to be a DIY for sure at this rate.

When was the last time you went to a shop?!
Standard rates for shops that can work on these cars correctly is $120-$150/hr in my area.
20hrs sounds too high. Don't recall what it is exactly for Turbo's, but should be around 12-18hrs depending on if they need to do anything special. N/A is 10-12hrs.
