Agent944, does the Performance Products shift boot & **** look OEM? I am thinking about getting a black one to match my black 968 CS steering wheel.

Yes...the lure of the so-called "20% off sale" is tempting...

The Perf Prod shift boot/**** looks slightly different than the OEM boot/*****. It also feels slightly bigger in your hand when shifting, (a more snug fit <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" /> ) but otherwise, its pretty much the same. If I remember correctly, when you install it, it doesn't require the metal clips that the original ***** had to keep them in place.

Those aluminum caps are available here in the U.S. from a place called Imagine Auto. The guy who runs it is a big 911 guy, but he can get anything for 944s too. I'm getting my shifter insert from him and a new boot from Tweeks.
