Default Changing oil through extraction?

I'm curious to know if it is possible or if anyone has changed the oil through extraction? I have a Mity Vac fluid extractor that I would like to use on the '86 951. This would save me from having to jack the car up and removing the shields from underneath the engine. If I were to use the extractor, is it possible to feed the line through the oil filler tube rather than the dipstick? Since the oil filler tube is much larger in diameter it might be much easier to feed the line through. I'm guessing that both the filler tube goes straight to the oil pan anyways, correct?

Do you go through the oil filler tube or dipstick?

Except eventually you will end up with a layer of sludge at the bottom of your sump.

My guess is at least half - maybe more - don't keep the back shield anyway (I know I took mine off)...so changing the oil isn't a hassle...with the exception of the retarded design of the oil filter. Who thought putting that thing right side up was a good idea?
