Post What Do You Think Of My New CD...

Bought a label maker program, but I have a crappy/cheap color printer. Oh well I'm having fun though. I've heard not to use these in a cd player as the heat will cause the label to peal???

So what do you think??

I've used labels like that in plenty of CD players and never had a problem...

Some labels use a cheap adhesive that can peel I guess, but I haven't had that problem with the ones I use yet, and some of my CD labels are several years old now and still fine.

I have made many of these for years, and afaik none have failed. I make unique cd's with complete cases/covers for friends and family on holidays and things like that. I have been doing this since I first had a 2x burner some 6 years ago. I know I am stretching fair use, but most of the people would never buy this music in the first place. At any rate, I worried about this at first, but as I said, the first one i ever made is in my carousel and plays fine, label in tact.

Being a pilot, I know some awsome flying songs that are a must for any flying CD...

CKY - Disengage the simulator
Foo Fighters - Learn to fly
Tom Petty - Learning to fly
Nat King Cole - Straighten up and fly right
Pink Floyd - Learning to fly
Nazareth - This Fligth Tonight

and more...

I like the image you picked, but you squished it for some reason!!!

Also, I hope none of you guys are still using permanent markers on your CDRs!!!

Did you know that over time the Ink will permeate through the plastic (if not written on the painted label part) and DAMAGE the data on the other side of the CD??? It's true!!!

If you have any important old CDRs you might wanna check to see if all the data is still good!

I once put a piece of tape on a CD-R and removed it. In doing so it removed the top layer of metallic film and created a see-through hole on the CD. Of course it was useless after that.

RATS.. I just bought a pack of sharpies for marking my CDRs.. Oh well, I guess I'll just use them for some scientific strut-brace flex test.

if you don't believe me, read the <a href="http://www.cdrfaq.org/faq07.html#S7-7" target="_blank">CDR FAQ</a>.
