Angry You clean a little, paint a little and then you break a little - photos

Still waiting on a few parts; camshaft housing bolts, head nuts, and rod nuts)

And waiting until Monday to order the valve stem seals, water pump, a few other things from Paragon... I hope they have some heat wrap for the exhaust manifolds.

While we wait for that, we painted a few items, cleaned the pistons, and got the head cleaned, valves done, etc.

And also broke the cam cap... One of the bolts was stripped (the one that holds a ground cable). I tapped the hole for a 7mm bolt and had to open the cap hole accordingly. Well… the bit got stuck and the whole housing turned… sure enough… the cap now has a crack and will need to be replace… just when that happens and I start cursing… wife comes in the garage and tells me not to spend anymore on the #$%#% car…

Also, here are a few photos of the repaired exhaust manifolds. I hope that holds for a while.

(Nice way of finding out that the intial post cannot hold more that 8 photos!!!) Here we go again:

Painted intake manifold (yes, high temp paint):

Cool

And last Sunday there was a Shine, Wine and, Dine event from the local PCS club... here is one photo. My father-in-law and brother-in-law took the 964 while I rode the bike.

Enjoy the photos!

Looks great Jamie...I don't think you'll have a problem finding one of those caps locally (Ian in Pompano Beach is real close to you) but if you do I have an extra I can send you no charge...
