OT: Porsche addiction, or insanity?
So I'm working on my car, replacing the dash, and I skin the back of my nuckle on one of the aluminum edges pretty bad, I shrug it off engulfed in my work for a few moments not conscerned about infection or bandaging or anything until I realize that its bleeding so badly that I might stain my interior. Is this within the limits of a porsche adiction? Or is there something just abit wrong with me. Have any of you ever seen the movie "Christine"?

Or when you are so intent on replacing something that you don't care what you're wearing -like a suit and tie while I did the heater control valve on my S2 the other day. I'll be paying extra at the cleaners for that one...

Do you by any chance have a "Indish Rot" car?
My blood colour is only a little darker than indish.. That was the first thing I thought about when I scraped my hand pretty bad while getting the stereo wiring done properly.

Roberto,
Yep, you've got issues. But don't we all? I'll be setting up the details for the belt tensioning day this week. I think there will be about seven of us.

I see nothing unusual. I am still wearing a gouge in my thumb from replacing my horns.I didnt stop - the blood was on the exterior chin, and almost matched until it dried..

Are you crazy?! Blood is highly corrosive! I always immediately wipe off any blood I spill on my car! Rush to get cleaners and fresh rags to clean it before it's had a chance to dry. Sometimes if you wait too long, the edges of the blood will dry and stain!
And really big cuts can be troublesome because you're dripping blood quicker than you can wipe off! In that case, I think it might be OK to stop work on the car for a little while as you tend to the injuries. But that's just so you do the least amount of damage to the car. The quicker you can get the bleeding under control (super-glue works great on lacerations), the quicker you can get back to the car to wipe the blood off and get back to tinkering!

I wear my scars proudly and always make it so that I get some of my blood into the engine oil.
You see, my car and me, we are blood brothers.
PS - I finally got the #@$% fill plug from the tranny out. After some cursing, blood, and a new scar.

Super glue, Why didn't I think of it? I didn't have any needle and thread, so I tried to use the lighter to cauterize (sp?) the cut, but I forgot that I had unpluged the battery... So I had to resort to washing it out and waiting for it to stop bleeding, what a waste of time. I finally had to give up for the evening because my eyes would'nt stay open, when I awoke and took a shower there were dozens of little lacerations all over the backs of my knuckles. Well, time to button her up and test drive my "new" dash.
