Hi Muso
Back in the old days (while I was still wearing short trousers, went to school and was constantly short of money & worked in a garage), we kindly requested the client to go out for a long walk for say 1 hour.
As soon as he was out, some big sized piece of steel, wrapped in a rag, was helt between the hinge, the top one in jour case, and the door was gently pressed towards close (not complete, just enough to stretch the hinge a bit).
Then take out the "tool" and check, repeat action as required.
There is no wat to get it back in so be a bit carefull. If you are gone too far, the lower hinge needs to be "treated" for compensation.
Note that the window is to be opened in full to prevent any stretch on the glass.
Also, it might be required to reajust the lock pin in the door post when done. The lock is at a lower position now.
I dont think tou can shimm the hinge, so there are not that much alternatives.
TakeCare
