As many of you know, I've been trying to get the most out of this connection/server/network. For example, starting at 3AM this morning - I reinstalled another version of Linux for this main server without all the "overhead" on my previous install... Yesterday, I also upgraded/replaced all my remaining network hubs with switches (and tossed all the hubs)... As you may know - over the next several weeks, I'll also be more then doubling my bandwidth into the Internet...

Anyway - I finished it up earlier today.... And just tried optimizing the web settings (reverting to some PHP scripts, and playing with the cache - etc.).

HOWEVER - IF YOU HAVE A MOMENT, could you please post back if it is better for you right now???!!! Just a quick comment would be very appreciated (and YES - the AVATARS will be back, but let me get the software squared away first, OK???

This is my first post, but the board does seem much faster to me. I am coming on at least a T1 ( probably a T3 ).

Right now it seems pretty good. Yesterday and earlier today it was verrrrry slow. I've been having problems refreshing the page since the upgrade but it seems to be working ok now.

Seems to be quicker than the last few days.. and is working great right this minute.

EDIT: just for information sake.. I timed how long it took for this post to take place.. 8 seconds from "submit" till I was looking at my post. I'm at work with a T1 and at home I have cable.

I am on a corp. T1 IIRC.
Yes the board is running faster, per your recomendation I turned off the avitars a few weeks back (they were getting pretty silly anyway).
As of today it seems to be running even better.
