Default a couple of pics of the new car...

bought it ~1 month ago
so far:
bled hydraulics twice...it was foul
new SS exhaust, Dansk
cleaned all electrical connectors, dielectric grease
a bunch of detailing, cleaned the interior, powerwash chassis
car is in amazing shape ~55k miles...runs perfect
no dash cracks, seats look new...
minor mods: Lindsay; BE, chips, shim 3 bar regul...new CD player/speakers
car has all records: driven until 1994 ~40k miles, then 10k over the next 12 years
last owner did a ton of work: water pump, belts/rtensioners/pulleys/hoses/brakes/etc.

my RS4 has been sitting in the garage a lot

Gorgeous car! Sounds like many carefree miles ahead of you!

Sell the RS4, what's the point?!

use the 951 in the summer, the RS4 in the winter...

plus I need a 4 dr for business stuff...
and I got a great deal...it had 8k when I bought it, CPO warranty and it was AoA show car...the first maint stamp is corp Audi, Auburn Hills, MI

I had a 1980 931 in the early 80's, bought it with 7k miles...it was the Coos bay dealers special order car
mocha black, brown tweed, 5 lug wheels (speedliners) and no AC...shown with winter set-up, phone dial take offs...175/70/15? Pirellis
good thing I lived in AK, and with snow tires it was a great snow car
I eventually put a euro bumper on it...it's hard to tell, but all the signals are smoked too...early 80's modding, lol

this car brings back memories, except it's twice the car the 931 was...

Car looks amazing....If that RS A4 begins to feel neglected, I'll pay for shipping to 92688.

my wife has dibs

but she's content with her mini clubman...
we have 4 cars, all manuals
e46 M3 rounds out the gang 140k miles, got it w/10k in 2001

the RS4 is a stripper: no luxury pkg, no sunroof...as far as I can tell, 1 of a kind in the US

I don't have a real reference, but it sounds ~oem, maybe a bit more growl under throttle, a tad deeper...I like it...
it's quiet on the HW, no drone

but the 951 sounds entirely different in general compared to my other cars...
more mechanical

plus the weight of the controls: steering/brakes/shift/clutch/etc...heavy in the 951, the RS4 seems almost silly light in comparison...

when I drive the RS4 once a week, I am jerky as heck at first...
my wife gets a kick out if it lol
the fact that it's throttle response is fast doesn't help, it revs like an electric motor...

but honestly, at this point I'm enjoying the 951 more...whether it's the novelty, the 'blast from the past' factor, the boost rush, or the basic nature of the car I don't know, or care

That car is gorgeous.

It's the connection with the road, man...no other car has it as good as the older porsches. You can just feel everything and the whole experience is so much more enveloping.

oh, I never used that dealer...I was stating that the car was a corporate Audi car, and serviced by Audi of America in their corporate garage...
stamp says 'Audi of America/ Auburn MI'
