Thumbs up Porsche PET

I just got a copy of Porsche PET installed. Man, is this great. It is Porsche's online parts catalog. It has exploded diagrams of all of the components, as well as the part numbers.

This is so helpful. I wish I had it years ago. What does this program go for, and is it even for sale?

Just curious.

Not for sale unless you pick one up on the black market. Funny how Porsche keeps items that have so much value to themselves - I've got one and love it.

I also have the Porsche PET,which I believe stands for Porsche Electronic Technical.I actually took the CD to work and over the course of about 2 weeks I printed out all the pages,so now I have the paper copies I can take in the garage and the CD for anything else. This is a excellent tool everyone should own. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

I'm betting Porsche Elektronischer Teilkatalog which translates as Porsche Electronic Parts Catalog.
Sure is a great tool.

I have noticed from time to time that someone will have one on their ftp server and just never downloaded it... anyone happen to have one now? If I can get one, I will post it to my ftp and leave it for future needs?

I have the ISO, but its a large file (270MB I believe). I can send it to you, but I don't know if its reasonable to send a huge a file like that. I am imagine that it would have a low reliability rate for transfers.

Just let me know. Its not just for 944s either btw.

Yeah, 250mb would be too big for my ftp server. About the only way for you to get it to me is by posting it on Grokster, Morpheus or some other file sharing program. Unless you have access to a ftp server.
If you have a way I would really appreciate it? Once I have it I could post it on a file sharing program and then keyword it so that just the Rennlisters would know? All I need is a copy... I have a cable modem so people would be able to get 250mb from me within an hour or so... Up to yall.

I hate to ask, but could someone post it so I can access it? I have a fast connection, 250 MB is no problem.
