Post Tonka Yellow Porsche 944 ***RARE***

This one's a beauty...

<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3111595322&category=2657" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3111595322&category=2657</a>

And, since Tonka made this 944 model before Porsche actually built the real thing ("I am sure it is 30 years plus old") you know it's a special piece indeed.

It's so rare it's even missing the rear hatch and spoiler <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

Tonka toys are usually quite large, but this one is on a table, and it is small enough that you can see the grain pretty clear.

I bet it is a Micro Machiene. (small little cars back in the day)

Looks like a 930 slantnose to me. I don't remember Tonka doing cars or real automobiles either, most were generic vehicles.

I just couldn't resist!
&gt;how can you tell it's a Porsche 944?

Hi,

I know a bit about cars and the 944 is the only car it even slighty
resembles.

Thanks.

If that is the case I also own a '79 930 and a '78 928. They are the rare match box editions from when I was young.

Funny , I thought it looked more like a Mit. 3000GT. Of course that would make twenty years before the actual car came out.
