I'm sayin it again. Parts car.
Also, just for reference. I bought my black 1987 951 with 120k and in GREAT condition (just a few problems here and there) for only $6,500. Just sayin.
You can see how clean it is here:

It's all fixed now, caught it before it snuck up into the suspension apron so it was a fairly easy fix. Had the same area cut out of a junk car and they cut the piece into individual pieces, welded them in, finished it off with undercoating (the same tha the factory uses so they told me) and then went on with repainting the rest of the car.

Even it is passes a PPI (which I hope you are getting from a third-party mechanic who is NOT associated with the current owner), you have some serious thinking to do. A great many 930 buyers buy these cars looking for mostly original, un-molested examples. This car will never be that. So you could buy it for your own owning/driving pleasure and do just fine.....but if you decide to turn around and sell it down the road, you will be in for a potential headache.
Just my thoughts........good luck with whatever you decide to do!
