Thumbs up Who remembers...944 World at Excite?

That's where I got my start on the forums. And look what I found:

<a href="http://groups.msn.com/944world/porscheg96.msnw" target="_blank">http://groups.msn.com/944world/porscheg96.msnw</a>

An entire gallery of my 968 just a week after I bought it.

There was once this dude named SHAUN who had a 944 and posted on the EXCITE board years ago started by Bill Underwood. Eventually the turds at Excite decided they couldn't spare all the bandwidth for these communities and they closed it.

This SHAUN came to the rescue and transferred ALL of our galleries to a community hosted on MSN. I hadn't been there for at least a couple years, then low and behold I found old images of my car. Aww...look at how STOCK it is!

How many of you folks were on Bill Underwood's Excite board?

I remember the Excite days fondly, I was there and on the msn board for a bit until it got too slow and noone used it. Shaun, if I'm not mistaken is Mideastmafia on the Rennlist. I think I have a gallery on the msn board also.

Excite was a cool board and great community. Unfortunately, like you were saying Trevor, it got too big for it's britches. It was fun while it lasted.

What ever happened to Bill Underwood? His was the first 944 site I ever found... last time I checked back, it hadn't been updated for years.

Bill Underwood's site was also the first site that I saw dedicated to the 944. It was through a link on his site that I found Rennlist.I am also curious as to what happened to him.
