Post eBay Alert!!!! Timing Belt Tensioner

Someone is passing off the $50 Optibelt timing tension gauge as THE $500 Porsche gauge. Bidding is up to $110. He has made the auction private, so no one can warn the bidders. Beware!

(or search on "belt tension")

Can we warn the Admins at Ebay to encourage him to not false advertise? They certainly want their customers to be happy...

Post a buyers feedback on the sellers history as a negative and why. Those who read the feedback will get a idea of the misrepresentation.

Better to send an email to the buyer, and copy it to e-bay.

Further Contact Information!!!!

Robert Mercoleza mtnhrdwear@hotmail.com

Perhaps a few e-mails from the group should get him to think better of his bogus auction.

Be sure to use the auction number and some of the exact text from his spiel.

As to eBay and reporting this: There is a way but it's buried so deep in the eBay menus that it's intentionally impossible to find. Remember that eBay wants the money and no bad publicity as it is a publicly traded company. Drives the stock prices down. So us little guys get screwed.

gdab8: I couldn't afford to drive to BH let alone park there. And I could care less. The participants on this board are mostly novices from many places. As such eBay is one major avenue of parts and specialized tools. It's important that we "hang together" and share the good and bad we find.
