DC Area Get-together TOMORROW
Okay tomorrow's the day and it looks like we've got a pretty good group coming along.
The specifics are as follows -
Meet in Parking lot behind The Silver Diner at Springfield Mall (if you need directions email me) at 9:00am. We want to leave by 9:15 so show up a few minutes early if you can.
Cruise up to the Behnke Nursery in MD to meet MD people (email me for directions if you need them).
Meet MD at 10:00am. Cruise the River Run Road John G has mapped out for us (I will bring an itinerary for everyone tomorrow), then cruise back into Shirlington (Capitol City Brewery) to be there around 1pm.
Here's the list of who's coming:
Me - VA Meet Point
Eurospeed951 - VA Meet Point
ribs - MD Meet point (riding with someone)
renn951 - VA Meet point
Crazandy - VA Meet Point
Tim B - VA Meet point
Tom H - MD Meet Point
Sam N - MD Meet point if he finishes his brakes
John E - Possibly meeting us later on - PCA meeting to go to
Brian Y VA Meet point
John W - MD Meet
Brian B - MD Meet
Eric D - MD meet
Steve N - Cap City Brew
Possible
Josh P - VA
Art K - Cap City Brew
So as you can see, it will be a good group. Lots of 944's a few 928's and I think a 911 or two.
I need for people to bring as many of the Motorola 2 way radios they can find, as well as a cell phone in the event we get separated.
Also, I'll be bringing a camera, but I don't have a digital camera, so if we want to post pics here, I can scan, but if someone could bring a digital camera that would be great.
Looks like the weather is going to be hot, but not raining, so at least we'll be dry.
Any questions or anything drop me a line at either paulcaiazzo@hotmail.com
or paul.caiazzo@worldtravel.com
Looking forward to meeting everyone -
and it's not too late if you do want to go!
Paul

Thanks for setting all of this up.
I'm still not sure if I will have my 951 or not. We are going to try and start it today, but if we can't get it running are there any Va people that could take a passenger? It would be better to ride in a P car than to drive the jetta.

Eurospeed - you can hitch a ride with me if you like. I have no problem with that - no one else will be with me in my 87 NA -
You'll just have to deal with a noticeable lack of BOOST.
Oh well - we're not racing tomorrow anyway...
Let me know if you need to be picked up or if you want to be dropped off at my house tomorrow.

Dang! Where has THIS post been?? If I had know I would have arranged to go. Shoot, DC is only about 5.5 hours away. Darn darn. I have taken my time with replacing the fuel injectors to find the best price (if they can't be rebuilt) but I would have put them pedal to the metal had I known about this.
When is the next one?

It looks like TomH can't make it tomorrow so I'm going to drive the celica up to the nursery thing in potomac. I guess I should leave at 9:00 or so to make it up there in time. This will be weird since I have only woken up before noon 3 or 4 times in the last year (I have a slack college schedule). I'll bring my digital camera as well, and a couple of those FRH radios if I can dig them up. See you all in 8 hours!

Hi Guys,
A big thank you to Paul and John for putting this together... although I'm on the 928 end of things, it was a blast driving with you guys and Timmer's nose looked absolutely INTIMIDATING in my rear-view on the latter part of the drive! Hope we can have some more multi-water-cooled-model events in the future!

Brian:
Thanks for joining us! We've got a few pics posted on a separate thread.
Have you talked to John E since you left? I passed him on the on-ramp to the GW Parkway from I-395. Unfortunately, he was detained at the moment by TWO squad cars. I hope it was nothing serious...

Brian,
I hope you didn't think that I was being too
close for comfort on the latter part of the ride....I was just keeping close just so I can hear your 928 growls out of the turns. Those growls alone were INTIMIDATING.

Timmer -
No need to worry about sticking too close... nothing more beautiful than that fierce looking cowl bearing down on me...!! Thinking now maybe I need a 944 to keep the 928 company...
