Well,
Michelle(JD) may be comming to see my car tommorow and I haven't started it in over a month now because of the cold. It's still cold (and snowy) here in Chicago. Just wondering if there's anything I should do before I fire her up. There's sufficient oil, and it's good, but I just want to be sure all is well. I was planning on waiting untill it got a little warmer but the weather hasn't been compliant. Please let me know ASAP as she may be comming tommorow. Thanks. By the way it's an '86 951:

Thanks for the comments. I love the 951 and I know there's no better car for the money. Still, I can't afford to own it rightnow at this point in my life.

I have heard that after a rebuild or a long time sitting that you can unplug the fuel pump fuse and crank it for a second to get the oil pressure up before starting it. I don't think it really matters though. A month isn't that long. I would just crank it right up.
I have a question for you, how does a salvage title affect owning the car? Insurance, registration, inspections, ect....

- Check oil& coolant level
- Pump up the tires
Start up and start driving with RPM between 2500 and 4500 till warmed up completely.
Depending on the ambient temp this might take some miles, say 20 or so for 5 deg below freezing point.

Registration and insurance went perfectly smoothly. Just like a car with a clean title. Just be sure to call your agent to make sure the car has passed inspection which mine had before I purchased it.

I stored mine for 4 months last year and it started up fine.
I'd let it idle to warm first though. That way the interior is warm and the car is not "frozen" while driving.
Let it idle till the oil pressure is at 2.5-3.0 and then take it for a spin.
