Post OT: Idiots in my neighborhood

Just wanted you guys to get a gander (goose) at this:
ebay auction

This business is within a mile of the courthouse where I work. I've gone there twice for parts/work estimates and they are outrageous! The bid is at $4500 for a turbo with a blown engine and the reserve is not yet met. Amazing.

I actually don't think that's too bad considering all the other stuff that's been done to it, I wouldn't pay over $5k for it, but if you want to build a 2.8 motor and drop it in a car, that would be the one to buy!

"What you are looking at is one of the finest examples of a first year 944 Turbos available."

"One of the connecting rods is lying in the bottom of the oil pan."

How do you get those two statements in the same paratgraph

question: is the car worth USD4500.00 without the engine? probably in parts alone, it's worth it.

like danger, i would not pay over five. there was also an 89 951 engine on ebay that was around USD2950.00 yesterday and it had 58000 miles on it.

$6,100 now and worth more.

Imagine putting all that money into a car and blowing it up 1,500 miles later!

Judging by what he says about his driving style...aka...330hp pushing redline in 4th...it is no suprise to me he broke the car. Why do that on the street?

Seller has edited this auction:

"That is, except for that whole blown engine thing..."

HAHAHA.

I see stupid people all the time, they're all around me, and some of them, they buy stuff on ebay.

"One of the connecting rods is lying in the bottom of the oil pan."
It may have been one of the extra ones.....
