I'm not so sure about this video. As I understand it, a sub-8:30 bridge to gantry is a pretty serious time, especially with the track open to traffic. I think the video may have been sped up a little in the middle.

As a side note, has anyone here actually done this? I really would love to try!

Well, whatever the elapsed time is, that first guy was inhaling motorcycles like PacMan.

Any reason to think this is NOT a stock 951? If it's stock it's pretty impressive.

It defenetly sounds stock, ie. not loud like most moded ones. This does not mean much.

Could be running stock exhaust, with chips or an MBC. Who knows. I couldn't speculate. While he wasn't smooth, I doubt I could drive any faster, or better than he did. Lord knows I'd end up backwards somewhere.

I am certain of two things... he needs to clean his windshield, and he has driven the 'Ring many times. The way he was tossing the car around shows that he knows what's coming ahead. I think his fast steering corrections are just a necessity of a stockish car driving fast around corners on a bumpy track. He did well to correct quickly and not lose control a few times. If he was driving as slowly as all of those cars and motorcycles he was passing, I'm sure his steering would have looked much smoother.

I watched the full video again...I have edited my original post...he's flying around the ring.

My guess would be he was driving to the limits of a fairly stock 951.

Looks like a hell of a lot of fun for sure.

One thing overlooked is all the elevation change and off camber turns. This can really upset a car.

Dude knows how to drive!!!
