FYI I have never had to heat up the hub to remove just a seal. They always came out with a drift pin or punch from the outer side with very little effort. I've never even heated the hub to remove/install the races but I do have a press. YMMV

Hey Jim, this is good advice for 964/993/996/997/Boxster, ain't so for our cars. Remember team, heat the outer and cool the inner. What Jim said is true for dropping the race in the hub, but not for putting the race on the spindle.

Keep in mind the wheel bearings for the 944 are nothing special. You can order them from any local auto parts store, although I prefer brands like BCA that hopefully are not made in China.
