Default Most Head Room? 944 power seats or manua?l

Hey guys,

Anybody know if the 944 manual seats have more headroom then the power seats?

I've found a '86 944 turbo drivers seat that has power height adjustment for front and back, and has manual adjustment for the sliders and seat back angle.

I've heard the 944 manual seats provide the most headroom, but not sure about the power seats from the turbo. I know the motors in the 928 power seats make the seat bottoms higher = less headroom, so wondering about the 944 power seats.

Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

My early 944 has the manual seats and they seem to be higher then my latter cars power seats.

I recently put early sport seats in my 87 and yes they are lower. They have no power adjustments. But to install them I had to make a few brackets myself.

I found seats from a 83' 944 N/A of course
They are non-powered seats
According to the owner of the seats:

"These were replacements for the original seats a few years back. They look pretty much new. They are in very good condition. Every adjusting/tilting mechanism works well. These are manual seats (No electronics) so there is less to worry about with these. These seats are black vinyl with a grayish cloth center"

Anyone have an idea if these would fit right into my 87' 951?

thx

oh, heres a pic of them if it helps:

They will but you will need to fab some seatbelt brackets or drill into the trans tunnel.
