Can anyone in or around the Union, NJ recommend a good independent shop for service?

There's Autohaus at 12 Commerce St. in Chatham, NJ...
<a href="http://www.autohausnj.com" target="_blank">Autohaus</a>

Image was not working for me... constantly changing. Either way, Chatham is not too far away from Union. In fact it's almost on the Morris/Union county border.

I know... I especially love Christian Garibaldi's 911 that was featured in Excellence.

I took my then-new-to-me 944 to Autohaus...the owner looked at it, drove it, and said there was nothing wrong with it, and it was as good as a 944 can be.

Took it to my current mechanic, who found: hole in exhaust leaking into the cabin, timing retarded by 2 teeth, belts/rollers old and needing replacement, altinator belt wining, missing battery clamp (loose battery = fire hazzard)...in other words, he LOOKED for the usual stuff, where Autohaus didn't want to bother!

It's about 1/2 hr north but Jay's Wagon Werks in Englewood has always 'done right' by me and by my father.

Jay's a one man show, but very honest and been doing it all his life...his father ( also Jay) started the shop and my dad took his first P car there in the 60's.
