On my seats i pulled the plastic cover off the hinge area and on the back of the seat (underneath the plastic trim piece) you can see where they folded the leather up underneath itself in the process of putting the leather cover on. There is easily enough material on the flap folded under the leather to cut a 1"x1" square out of for the color matching process.

I used Magic Mender with good results. www.magicmender.com. Only problem was figuring out what color dye to order. I thought my seats were linen, but after 3 or 4 exchanges found that they were champignon.

Cheers all. The illuminated gear lever came from Germany with different styles and lit in either blue, red, yellow or white. I bought mine from the UK ebay but after some searching here's the USA link http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Innovati...__W0QQ_armrsZ1
