Default Seat Upholstery options

Sport Seats are residing in my office waiting for new upholstery. I'd like to do Robb's seats but they aren't exactly in my current budget. Anybody have some good options? I wish Travis still served this market. Looking for black vinyl/leather and later style power SS's. I've recovered other seats so this task is within my abilities in kit form.

any european upholstery guy should be able to handle it, nothing really special about the seats/

had mine done by a random local shop who specializes in euros...i figured when i saw the ferrari f355 barchetta and the boxster in there he was well-reputed. my seats came out brilliantly for $700

I came across this ebay seller when looking for seat covers for an e30 Convertible. Stuff looks decent and at a good price for leather. No experience with product or seller though. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...Q5fAccessories

I believe that's going to be the route I take. Just checking to see if anyone has tried their stuff or has a better option.

928leather looks nice also BUT just like Robb's work leather covers at $1,200 or more and I'd be too close to Late 996 hard back sport seat territory to bother with.

I may run by customautotop next week to see if they'd quote me on a set of covers. My bet is that they won't make the covers and let me bring them back and install. After next week I probably won't see Mechanicsville again until Mardi Gras.

leatherseats.com has a decent price on their covers. And you can get leather or vinyl.

They appear to be the same as the ebay seller above. At least the photos are the same.

ELLSSUU both Dan87951 and aribop bought and installed those covers from ebay (leatherseats.com)

They looked good installed - do a search for aribop, not sure if Dan ever posted pics but he had his piped in red for an extra fee. I was going to go this way until I found a set of 20k mile sport seats semi-local.

Thanks Sam that's what I wanted to hear. I know Dan and Aribop have high standards.

Hey that thread was harder to find than planned, it was my thread that he posted pics in. Look down the page for his pics...they look great IMHO!
