hi all-
my crossmember has developed a crack, and i figure a new one would most likely be better than welding it (mistaken?). what type material is the crossmember? also, where can i acquire one?
thanks

Just an FYI. Someone out there makes a bolt together crossmember conversion. I can't remember the website. Maybe somebody can remember it. I do remember they wanted your old one in exchange plus some cash of course.

Lindsey Racing has a 3 pc crossmember. They might even be able to weld your cracked one.

I've seen the Lindsey one on their website- I've really been considering it- I've got leaky oil pan seals right now- that stuff could really come in handy if it were on there already- I'm just wondering if there could be any negative side affects to the 3-pc or if weighs a lot more (less?) or anything like that? If anyone out there has one, please let me know- I'd love to hear about it....
