Parts Interchange?
Just wondering, how many of the engine parts interchange between the 8-valve and the 16-valve engines? Are the lower ends the same, what about the crank, or the rods?

How about none? It's all or nothing really. Well, the 944S block and crank are the same as the other 944, but nothing else really. And nothing on the 3.0L 944S2 will swap with the 8-valve cars.
