Volk wheels that fit over the 951 dust cap and hub!
After a lot of debate with myself, and some urging of others to just go for it, I bit the bullet and filed out the center cap lip of my Volks. Took many hours over a couple days, but now they fit perfectly. (I was running 10mm spacers in front before.)
And if you don't look closely, the dust cap actually looks like a center cap. (The stock ones look much closer to the bronze rim color. I painted these after messing with them.) I had to file the lip in the rim almost completely to the hub. That was majorly sketchy and I had to keep reminding myself to take it slow. Next time I'll just get a machine shop to do it...
I love the look of these rims, and now they are perfect. I lost 11 lbs per wheel when I swapped my old ones for these. The difference that made in handling was huge, obviously. The rear 18x10 only weighs 46 lbs with tire, which I think is near the stock weight.
I'll post up better pics next week after I get my rear suspension sorted.
Thanks to future for all the words of advice.
Dirty pics:
Older pictures: The rear was raised and the wheels given some negative camber in an effort to prevent the old rims from rubbing, so it makes these look tucked further in the fender than they should (and will) be. It gives a rough idea of how the rims look though.

wow, i LOVE those wheels! I am majorly jealous right now!
Also, I had to file down the center of a set of 4 wheels that I own as well, and I ended up resorting to using a dremel and a couple different bits to help speed up the process... which it did, but the end result is a bit choppy. Nice work!

^ I noticed that as well. I think the way the wheel is sitting in the well in the picture makes it look like the rear wheels are smaller or they have smaller profile tires compared to the front.

Looks kind of weird and out of place on the car.. maybe I'm just not used to it and that's why. Those wheels look like they'd complement more angular bodylines...
But at 11lbs per wheel who's gonna argue?
