You do not have to remove the bars to re-index them. Just pull the endcap on the carrier, rotate and re-assemble. Most people who delete them drop the whole carrier and rear suspension to prevent clearance issues.

I don't think this is entirely true. The splines are different at both ends of each t-bar, so you can adjust to some extent by just rotating the endcap at one end, but to do it properly you have to remove the t-bar at the inner spline also and use the adjustment at the inner end also. Using both adjustments gives you more choices (degrees of adjustment) and lets you set the bar exactly where you want it.

Hypothetically, if I just wanted to be "lower" in the t-bars, could I just rotate each end cap the same amount and come up with an even split? I don't need perfection, just lower.

Are you saying you want to take the endcap (spring-plate) off the outer end of the t-bars and rotate them say, one spline so that the car rides lower, then reattach the endcap? If that is the case you might be ok. Don't you have enough adjustment in the eccentric on the spring plate? That is easier and will give you a 1in range of adjustment.

FYI, each outer t-bar spline will give you 2.4in at the hub.

It's true. You can rotate both the inner and outer splines for full adjustment when the end cap is loose. I did just that Monday night.

My 968 with M030 option uses the helper springs. It handles great!

The only reason to run "helper" springs in the back is laziness/cheapness/fear of t-bar removal. And yes, I run helper springs for all of those reasons. This Fall/Winter, I am going to have Dimi show me how to remove t-bars!!!!

I'm definitely leaning toward deleting, and upgrading the coilover springs to 500 or 550.
..... Or use this spread sheet and reindex it once . Its so much easyer that way ....... just make sure your measurements are accurate .
