Default PS-delete guys: got a return hose FS?

My '86 took a minor hit to the right front in its previous life, the brunt of it taken on the PS "cooler" section. It occurs to me someone who deleted PS might have a used one for sale? Not so important if the rubber is good, I'd probably replace it. Price per condition. Thanks in advance!

On a side note, anyone ever replace the snake-nest "cooler" with a real heat rejection device?

I actually have one. I just deleted my power steering......The cooler part came out in one piece. You want it? PM me and let me know.

Since the pressure is minimal at that hose, couldn't you just use an oil safe hose with some hose clamps?

I could, but I guess Porsche thought there needed to be some heat rejection. The stock cooler seems to be designed to reject some heat, but not much; it's powder-coated (bad for heat transfer) and not finned. I was thinking of splicing in a typical American cooler, which are compact and finned, but it would be a fair amount of work that I don't need at the moment.

If you want to replace the so called factory cooler with a real finned unit, typically the cheapest and best way it to mount a small universal auto tranmission cooler, which you can find new for under $50. All of the lines to the cooler be hose clamped.

OOPS! I misread the post I thought you only needed the hose and not the whole unit. Good idea not to bypass it I would think.
