I don't think so, but I've only ever taken an early OPRV out so far.

yea...i'm gonna mess with it a bit more and then just put it back in. switched to castrol gtx 20w50. was at wallyworld and 5quart jug was only $12.

so after some more reading, it looks like i have a 1 piece conversion for early. type "A" or something

924S? That should be a one-piece if it was replaced. I've been doing some more reading, too.

early 944. although i think the 924S and the 944 are pretty much the same.

Yep. Someone replaced yours at some point. I've got a three-piece out of my block in the garage.

well i took the oprv apart, shimmed the spring with a washer and put it back in. hopefully will make a difference tomm when i start it.

I installed my oil temp sender there. It works, at least I got steady 90 degrees C on the highway and when I got to the track the temp rised over 110 degrees C when I decided I need to make a cooling lap.

well.....didn't make a difference....still at 3 bar. this engine might be a soon-to-be-goner. i'll verify one last time tomm when i put pull the oil pressure sender and put on an autometer that i have laying around. but i have the feeling the pressure just ain't there.
