I've had mine since the fall of 97 and brought it back from hell TWICE since then. Now I pass many more expensive P-cars at the DEs and it puts such a smile on my face I can hardly take my helmet off!

As so many of you say, I'll have it till one of us dies... We're gradually progressing to the club racer lever... (sooo slowly) or something like that! I'll make little imporvements to my addiction every year as long as I possably can.

It will truly be a sad day when my Blue baby finally permanently fails me. Hopefully when that happens I'll be using her as a donor car for the Turbo or something along those lines!

i love mine and am very satisfied. I cant drive anything else.

Ive owned it since last November. Not sure on how long i plan on keeping it. If the price is right on 968 that comes along, im all over it. Possibly a turbo, but still leaning towards the 968.

But, those are just what ifs. I LOVE MY CAR

- Satisfied but scared!

What does that mean? Well with all the horror stories you hear on this board I'm freaked that one day my car will just explode in a very expensive fireball. But with that in mind I just changed all the belts, rollers, water pump, brakes, ball joints, etc. so hopefully I'll be okay. (Got 104k on her now)

- Have had her for 1 1/2 years now - put about 12,000 miles on her since purchased!

- I'm trying to keep her forever but you never know what may come up. She's a pricey toy!

I've had my 86 951 for 7 years now. I think I've driven it twice!

Actually, the first year I had it I lived about five miles from work and drove it most days. I probably put 5,000 miles on it in the first two years. We then moved to the 'burbs and she didn't see another 5k for almost 3 years. In the last two years I'm up to about 2k a year.

I've though about selling her, but she's paid for and is now a very inexpensive way to own something really nice. Anything else I do would just cost me more money - so for now I'm happy and plan on keeping her.

- Not ultimately satisfied as I am a complete maniac when it comes to unperfect details.
Car performs perfectly but I will feel much better once it will have several minor work done.

- I have had it for 26 months. I have the feeling it was only yesterday.

- Yes, although I plan to spend more time on the track once I will be able to buy a Cup car (assuming I manage to find a clean one !).

Great thread!

I was thinking about this the other day. I've had the car exactly a year, and I'm enjoying it more and more as time goes on. Maintenance is expensive, but worth it for the grin factor of driving it.

No itch to change it yet at all - the only car I would even consider changing it for is a 993, and this side of the pond they work out at $45-50k <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
