That's wild, Roman. Good catch! The speed is a mix of GPS data points and accelerometer calculations. I guess there was a hiccup!

Mike, no doubt $300 is a bit - and more when you add fuel, food and a motel (or camping). But, you do get 2 days with about 2 hours a day of seat time... It's probably equal to about $1.20 per mile.

(FWIW, my last speeding ticket - 50 in a 35 - cost $180!!! So the track is a much better value!)

Come on guys! Only 2 weeks to go. We're going to keep registration open for a few more days!

There is still room in all run groups (but not many spots in Green - unless we get more instructors).

Many 'listers will be there!

Will be there the week after with RTR. I'm looking forward to going but I wish they'd take down that Armco. It frightens me.

What armco? Never, never, never look at the armco. Know it, respect it, but never look at it. Should you ever make eye contact, it will draw you in.

Jim speaks the truth. Not only should you look ahead, but you should also have a PPT - a "pre-planned thought". I use "look ahead and be smooth". I don't let my mind be distracted by things like armco - if I start thinking about it, and start thinking about what would happen if I hit it - then I'm not thinking about driving. If my mind starts to wander, I go to my PPT, and that brings me back to focus.

You can ignore it all you want, but it is still there.

Paul Tracy hit it, and he's a professional race car driver. But he doesn't have to pay the repair bills.

My roommates dad is racing there this weekend. He towed his car up from Orlando! However I don't think he will be around for the DE on the next weekend.

We've got a good number of people already - just hoping to make it a nice profitable event.

(And I know there are always people saying, "well... maybe someday I'll go... but really I'm too much of a ***** drive my car like it was meant to be driven, or go outside my comfort zone..." So, this is your opportunity to take the bull by the horns! I'm trying to give you a chance here!!)

watkins was only six hours from my old house, and worth the drive.

Quit yer whining and drive! Dont give me the lame excuse that your car is not set up yet. The reality is most 944 owners are not able to drive a stock 944 to 80% of its capabilities on the track, so the mods are useless. Money is better spent on track time than mods IMHO. Much more fun driving than installing stuff.
