Default Wher can I get a short ring & pinion

I am very hard to find parts to make a short gearbox to race my 951.
What are you looking for a speed of 230 km / h (140 MPH) at 7000rpm.
I do not search for 944 s2 ring & pinion as they not sufficiently short.

Do a google search for "Powerhaus II" (not "Powerhaus" as they are different, Powerhause II are the gear/transmission guys).

Looks like their website isn't working (www.powerhausii.com). I found their number if you would like to call them.

S2 isn't short enough? What do you want to do with this car?

You might want to go with a combination of the S2 ring and pinion, and custom gear sets. I think a custom ring and pinion would be prohibitive.

im guessing that you want 140 at 7k to be in 5th, considering a normal turbo box will do 140 in 4th at 6500.

there is a short 3rd ,4th and 5th 1to 1 gear ratio set manufactured in Australia, who makes them for PWII,
which are appx the same o/vrall ratios as the 968, but the cost is around 2800 usd.i Bought a set, is nice
and quality superb .but you will not necessarily go faster due to the more frequent gear changes, unless the track has many curves.

Best i found is a 944S transmission set up with Quaife LSD, and increase the durability of the CWP
With a mix of RED LINE shock proof oil, heavy and light, with a 951 oil cooler loop or a small
oil cooler with pump.Did a 24 hour endurance int race with no issues at all, with a 325bhp engine

Califonia motorsport have offerd my a gerabox and this is the mail they sended my

Gearing down the 951 is good but we have to be careful not to get the gears too close together or else your turbo won’t spool up, which will make for a performance decrease. I think the best approach to achieving the goal would be to use a 944 S2 gearbox (or S2 final drive in a 951 gearbox) and then have installed our close/short ratio 3rd-5th gear kit consisting of 1.58 3rd, 1.23 4th and 1.00 5th. At 7000 rpm and with a 26” tire, the top speed would theoretically be approx 140 mph.

That will be very, very short gearing for 3-5th. Keep in mind that a stock tire size is approx 24.5". Not too many tires available that will have a 26" OD, and depending on width, a tire that large will have potential rubbing issues.

With a stock sized tire, thats 78mph in 3rd at 6500, 100mph in 4th, and 123mph in 5th....

Trans fluid does not increase strength of the mechanical components, it is a lubricant which helps with wear and friction.

It has been documented and known for nearly 20 years that the 944S 2.5 Ring/Pinion will prematurely fail in a Turbo. It will eventually break teeth. And it is strongly recommended to use the S2 r/p instead of the S. The ratio difference between the two is insignificant (3.875 vs 3.889), but the strength difference is dramatic.
