Here are the symptoms, what is the illness?

It's this one, only $8.99 with a coupon I got in email.

It does not natively fit Bosch but has more of a chance of adapting than mine, mine is all Schraeder, all the time. But again just getting a pressure gauge adapted to the rail is not so hard, any old gauge, some hose, hoseclamps and a healthy respect for spraying gas will do.

The nice thing about using a tire gauge is that you can compare it to tire pressure and verify that the gauge is accurate. I would not make a huge effort to find an elegant way to take this measurement, you are only going to do it once or twice and that's assuming you need to measure it at all to see what you issue is. If you were tuning a RRFPR or something, I could understand getting a better adapter sorted. If you are set on getting an adapter you could maybe make one out of a lugnut and a schrader valve from the hardware store, and some teflon tape. I do not recall the thread size but it seemed lug nuttish.
Anyway I assume you have pulled the vacuum lines to the FPR and damper to see if they leak gas out the vacuum side.

I pulled the vacum lines from both the FPR and FPD and they are dry. I pulled the AFM and it had the the 2 groves worn into the contact strip so I cleaned the strip and bent the contact so that it would ride outside the groves. It seems to be better, on a cold start up it still idles a bit low but did not have the idle bounce that it did before. Also the hesitation followed by the surge is gone (I do miss that surge !!) now without the surge it seems a little slower.

This might be a simple fix.Open your hood at night & see if it looks like a light show. You probably need new wires. My 86 944 N/A got terrible mileage, until I changed the ignition wires. It would also explain the hesitation. Now get's 30 mpg in warm weather, combined, but mostly highway driving.630 miles from last tankful!!!!
good luck,Rusty

Checked under the hood at night, no light show. Cleaned the AFM and the idle is much better, but the car feels slower. Just filled it up and my last tank was just at 16mpg!!!!! Granted I rarely drive it on the highway and most of my trips are less than 15 miles, oh yeah and I drive it like its stolen, but I should be seeing at least 20mpg no? I have not checked the fuel pressure yet, but the vacum lines to both the FPR and the FPD are dry. My plugs look a little bit lean, but I am getting poor mileage any ideas!!??!!??!!
